Step 1 to check whether the requisite file has been shared or not.

  1. Go to the option of go.
  2. Now click on applications.
  3. Now you have to double click on QuickBooks server.app icon to start sharing.
  4. Sharing of the file is required when
  • When the file is showing not shared.
  • Select the option of the file to be shared.
  • You have to click on the + icon if the shared file is not displayed.

Step 2 Check Mac OS fireball setting.

  2. Select the option of the system preference.

Step 4 Check Bonjour service is working or not in QuickBooks for Mac.

  1. 556565 TCP, 5297 TCP, 5298 TCP/UDP, and 5353 UDP are the ports that are required for bonjour service to open the file.
Step 5 Check and test the network configuration in QuickBooks for Mac.
  1. You have to unplug the Ethernet cable.
  2. Now reboot if the desktop has both QuickBooks server and QuickBooks installed.
  3. Now enable the multi-user mode by opening QuickBooks.
  4. If it is enabled successfully then the problem might be with the network hardware providing network access.
  5. It is observed that hardware interferes with acting as a barrier between the QuickBooks and QuickBooks server communication.
Step 6 Need to set up a peer to peer direct connection.
  1. Two systems can be connected with a single Ethernet cable.
  2. Plug each end of the cable into the computer.
