Resolve Quicken Error Code 1310 or 1303

To be able to resolve the quicken error code 1310 or quicken error code 1303, you will have to know about the causes of these particular errors. Although, the reasons are not many but a few of them suggested by the quicken customer service are:

  • If the Quicken software folder which is downloaded is a corrupt version
  • The windows register is corrupted
  • Attack of any malware or virus
  • If the Quicken files are disrupted or damaged.

There are 3 simple steps that you will have to follow in order to resolve the quicken error code 1310 or 1303.

Quicken Error Code

Step 1: You will have to create new folders in the program files In Quicken Error

  • Firstly, you will have to open Quicken and select the option of quicken.exe or quicken setup
  • Click on License Agreement
  • Go to Next
  • Select the option of Installation Location
  • Click on Change Installation Location
  • After this rename it to “C:\Program Files(x86)\Quicken 1”
  • Select Ok

Step 2: Modification of Permission

For people using Windows 10 or 8

  • Go to File Explorer and do a right-click on C:\
  • Find Properties and select that
  • Click on the Security Tab
  • Now go to Administrator
  • If the Full Control is not allowed, give the permission for Full Control
  • Look of groups and usernames and click on System
  • Grant Full  Control permission
  • Select Advanced and then click on Change Permission
  • All the child object permissions should be changed to inheritable permissions
  • Select the option of Apply to save all the changes
  • Now, click on OK

For people using Windows 7

  • Go to the Windows Explorer
  • Give a right-click to C:\
  • Click of Properties and select Security Tab
  • Select Administrator
  • Check for the Full Control
  • Now go to the Owner Tab
  • Select the option to Edit
  • Click on Administrators
  • Check on “Replace owner on sub containers and objects”
  • Select Apply to save all the changes
  • Give a right-click to C:\ again
  • Select Properties
  • Under the section of ProgramData Properties select Security Tab and click on the option of Advanced
  • Select Permission followed by a click on Edit
  • Make sure that the System and Administrators  permission is given Full Control
  •  If the Full Control is not given, Click on Edit to grant Full Permission
  • Click on Replace
  • Click on Apply followed by OK

Step 3: From the Command Prompt correct the Permission

Quicken Error

Windows 7

  • Hold the Windows Key + R
  • Type CMD in the Run box
  • Click on OK
  • In the window of Command Prompt enter  icacls”C:\ProgramData”/T/C/grant administrators:F
  • Click on Enter
